Preparation is key in this game, so I spent a few hours the previous evening studying the maps looking for locations to the west of Albuquerque, and found a kink in the track at Laguna that looked promising for some differing light angles. Google Maps really proved its worth in this instance because without it I would not have been able to identify a rocky terrain that could provide some height. On arrival at the location I was relieved to find outcrops of rock in and around the area that were very climbable, and so this is one of the resulting views about 80ft in the air.
