Images from my recent (non-railroad) trip to America in March and April 2014. Travelling from Houston to San Fransisco by road over the month I was keen to fit in some railroad photography as and when. Lots of unknowns like locations, traffic, timetables and weather, but thanks to some heavy research I have come away with a selection of worthwhile shots. Thanks to Jonathan Lewis for providing his vast knowledge and advice on locations, and general 'rules' of the railroad.
