The initial plan was to head west ! But after a full AGM on the matter at Didcot we were lured north with news that the Boston steel was infact running despite not being booked to. Furthermore an EWS Tug had dropped onto 6M07 Liverpool Bulk Terminal - Ratcliffe loaded coal. 60049 - one of a dying breed carrying the faded EW&S livery - rounds the corner at North Staffs Jnc to briefly join the Burton mainline before diverging again at Stenson Jnc towards Toton. The train was actually booked to stop here for a short while, allowing the potential to beat it for a second shot, but the signalman let it run onto the mainline and it was held at Stenson instead!
